It’s A Whole New Wall Game
A new and exciting ultimate impact and abrasion resistant partition system for use in areas subject to intensive heavy traffic has been launched by Gypsum Industries.
The new system can be used in many applications including for example, hotels, hospitals, schools, shopping centres and partitions in residential buildings subject to a high impact and required to carry attached loads such as cabinets and TV screens.
Called Gypwall™ Extreme it is a lightweight, cost-effective, non-load bearing partition. It has a high degree of moisture resistance, is jointed using traditional tape and joint methods and no surface treatment is required before decoration. The system uses a minimum of components - Gyproc Rigidur, Gyproc Plasterboards and Gypframe lightweight rigidised metal sections - and can be used in place of non load bearing block wall construction in a wide variety of applications.
Using a single fixing, loads of up to 55kg can also be supported directly from the board without the need for additional grounds.
Gypwall™Extreme is fully compatible with other Gypsum Industries systems. This compatibility provides the opportunity to design the most cost effective construction on material and installation costs, rather than relying on the use of fibreboards throughout the entire project.
Being fully compatible with all other Gyproc systems, Gypwall™ Extreme qualifies for the Gypsum Industries SpecSure Lifetime Guarantee and presents opportunities for greater flexibility and security of design for architects.
