Construction Firm Mansell Announces Promotions
Leading construction firm Mansell has announced two senior promotions within its Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) department.
Ken Moncur, has been appointed Company SHEQ Manager for the whole of the UK, having previously worked as Mansell’s Divisional SHE Manager for Scotland.
Ken, who will be based in the firm’s Aberdeen office, has nearly 40 years experience, the last fifteen having been in health & safety within the construction industry, and became a Chartered member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health in 2006.
He has been with Mansell for 11 years and will be responsible for leading the team of Divisional & Regional SHEQ Managers in the implementation of SHEQ strategy across the company.
Ken, who lives in Tarves, says he is delighted with his promotion and is looking forward to the fresh challenges his new role will bring.
He said: “I am very excited by this opportunity. Having worked within the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality area of the business for a number of years I am looking forward to drawing on my experience to lead our talented team in the successful implementation and execution of our SHEQ strategy.”
Mansell has also announced the promotion of Dougie Smith, previously Regional SHE Manager for Central Scotland to Divisional SHEQ Manager for Scotland, the post previously held by Ken Moncur.
Dougie, who will be based in the firm’s Glasgow office, joined Mansell in 2003 and became one of the first Chartered Health and Safety Practitioners in the country in 2005.
