Connectors and structural systems specialists for the construction industry, Simpson-Tie is celebrating a major accolade at this year's prestigious TTJ Awards.
Hosted at London’s plush Park Lane Hotel by Tony Blair’s former master of spin, Alastair Campbell, a record audience of over 400 figures from across the timber industry gathered to hear which companies are leading the way in the products and services they provide.
Simpson - selected from entries across the UK as winner in the Excellence in Marketing category - was commended for its attention grabbing campaign to launch its new Engineered Timber Division (ETD) which was introduced earlier this year to provide specialist expertise for Engineered Timber based customers. Created by marcomms agency, Cravens, a series of ads, mailshots, e-flyers, online and sales promotion ideas under the strapline 'Dedicated Support', brought the new service to life by characterising Simpson’s metal connectors as teams of galvanised people. This concept cleverly depicted the human endeavor behind the products and the dedicated service Simpson strives to deliver to its customers - a message which was integrated above, below and online through advertising and PR.
In addition, Simpson was shortlisted in the Technology Information category for its cutting edge training videos which use 3D animations to demonstrate how to install its products to achieve maximum accuracy and effectiveness.
Richard Miles, Sales and Marketing Director, said: "We're absolutely thrilled to accept this prestigious award - we always strive to achieve the most innovative results in any area of our business and marketing is no exception, so we’re delighted that the judges of the TTJ Awards recognise our ambition to stand out from the crowd.
"Marketing activity has played an integral part in launching the unique customer service level of our Engineered Timber Division, which continues to go from strength to strength."
