New Managing Director For Gladedale Scotland
Gladedale, one of Britain’s largest private housebuilders, has announced a new senior appointment to drive forward its growth in Scotland.
Crawford Copstick has been appointed as the new managing director of Gladedale, (Central Scotland) Ltd, one of the company’s biggest operating regions. This year, it expects to build in the region of 700 units.
Based in Stirling, the company has more than 21 active developments across central Scotland, and employs in excess of 160 staff.
Crawford, who lives in Paisley, joins Gladedale from George Wimpey, where he was commercial director at the company’s East Anglia Division. Prior to that, he was senior commercial manager at George Wimpey East Scotland. He has also held senior posts with other housebuilders, including Gleeson Homes, McLean Homes and Muir Homes.
Gladedale, former Bett Homes in Scotland, is rolling out ambitious expansion plans to become one of the top three mainstream house builders in Scotland and the North East England region.
Commenting on his appointment, Sandy McBride, divisional chairman on Gladedale's Northern Division, which covers Scotland and the North East of England, said: "Crawford will bring energy, drive and insight to our operations in Scotland and play a key role in our expansion plans for the central Scotland region."
Crawford Copstick added: "This is one of the top jobs in Scottish housebuilding and I am looking forward to the challenge of further developing Gladesdale's presence in Scotland. Our goal is to build on Gladesdale's reputation for delivering the best in new-build housing and establishing the company as an employer of choice for professionals in the industry."
