ConstructionResale.co.uk Launches At Civils 2007

The website offers an industry spanning sales platform linking up all building and civil engineering contractors and their sites regardless of size of project or parent company.

Users will encounter a familiar style online sales website, with clear categories and the option to sell at auction or to set a fixed price. A fixed low percentage is charged to the seller upon the successful completion of a sale. Users can hold an account and be invoiced on a monthly basis.

The site also features RSS Auctions; using this tool subscribers are immediately informed when items are uploaded that fall into certain specified categories. This will allow specialist contractors to keep watch for any stock that comes onto the market that is core to their business.

ConstructionResale.co.uk launches at a time when, according to DTI Construction and Building Services Information, the UK construction industry produces 13m tonnes of material waste, products that were ordered, delivered to site, never used, skipped and sent to landfill.

The fragmented site by site nature of the UK construction industry means that communication between sites is limited which leads to unnecessary waste. ConstructionResale.co.uk provides a service that can bring together construction procurement professionals to significantly reduce waste, benefiting both the environment and the economy.
