Timber Windows Enhance Coastal View
When a development is located close to coastal scenery, it is essential to make the most of the view in order to maximise the value of the properties.
At 'Watersedge', the developer Oakenstead Estates Ltd chose stylish timber windows and doorsets from JELD-WEN. The highlight of the development is a turret - a 4m high circular wall of glass in an imposing style reminiscent of coastal properties built in the Edwardian period. The windows, which were supplied through Travis Perkins in Weymouth, were produced by JELD-WEN in a bespoke design, as required by the architect to provide a ‘wow’ factor.
"This development just shows what a tremendous impact can be made with timber windows," explained Tony Pell, Product Manager at JELD-WEN. "Each room has a light, airy and spacious feel and the whole development has a distinctive look that has attracted lots of interest from buyers."
He added: "More and more developers are choosing timber windows for their most prestigious projects and it is clear to see that with the specification on offer here, nothing less will do. Whether you are looking out to sea or back towards these stunning properties, you cannot fail to be impressed."
JELD-WEN’s sliding sash windows are available fully finished and factory glazed with 24mm Low E insulated glass units that ensure they can comply with the latest Building Regulations when installed in a new build property.
