Planning Permission Granted for 330ft Building

A 330 foot tower, which will be the tallest building in the South West of England, has been granted planning permission by Plymouth City Council.

Plymouth Hoe, at the edge of the city centre, will be the site for the mammoth new development by Devington Homes.

The building will be 31 stories tall, house almost 200 residential flats, and include shops, offices, and a hotel.

A £75m public open space provided for in the plans will form part of a corridor linking the city centre to the sea at Millbay and is scheduled for completion in 2010.
