The Sky’s the limit at SED 2008 in the Cranes and Access Zone from May 13th – 15th at Rockingham Motor Speedway, in Corby Northamptonshire.
NRC Plant is bringing the largest crane ever to be seen at SED – the Hitachi SumitomoSCX2800-2, which is a massive 275 tonne crawler crane. A Hitachi X75UST 5 tonne telescopic crane will be suspended from the hook of the SCX2800-2 – which will make impressive viewing.
To complete the line up NRC will be showing the Link-Belt HTT-8690, which is a 90 tonne truck crane and also the Link-Belt RTC-8065 – a 60 tonne rough terrain crane.
Universal Cranes is the sole U.K & Ireland agent for the supply of Zoomlion truck mounted telescopic cranes, lattice boom crawler cranes, and Ormig 'Pick & Carry' mobile cranes. The company is returning to SED with 3 new cranes, which have never been seen in the UK before.
Universal have been working with the Chinese company, Zoomlion, which is one of China’s largest construction equipment manufactures. There are already a number of Zoomlion cranes which are currently being tried and tested in Europe but SED 2008 will see the UK debut of the Zoomlion 32tonne truck mounted telescopic crane and also the new Zoomlion 70tonne lattice boom crawler.
Universal will also be bringing a 10tonne Industrial ‘Pick and Carry’ Ormig crane, manufactured in Italy. Again this will be the first time this crane would have been seen in this country.
Boecker will be exhibiting at SED for the first time this year. On display will be the Aluminium trailer crane AHK 31/1500 PLC, which is the new top model of the AHK series. Also on show will be the junior series, which is the compact product line of Boecker’s construction lifts.
Netherlands based company Cranebusiness BV will also be coming to SED for the first time and is expecting to bring 2 telescopic crawler cranes from its Fushun and Logicrane ranges.
Access equipment manufacturer, Genie, has been dedicated to designing and manufacturing high-quality lifting equipment for forty years. The company will be back at SED again and will be showing a full product range.
Oil & Steel will be exhibiting a range of access platforms with a combination of articulated and telescopic booms these include - the Eagle 3526, the Snake and the Octopussy 1412 Twin and 1765 tracked platforms, which were launched at last year’s SED.
Ladybird Crane Sales is back at SED for the second time and will be showing the redesigned self-ereccting tower crane CBR32 Plus, with a 32-metre reach jib. Also on the stand will be the small top-slewing tower crane – the CTT51 with a maximum 40-metre jib.
Vehicle mounted access supplier SkyKing Equipment will be showing products from Blue Lift, Wumag and GSR. Confirmed models include the SkyKing E228TJ truck-mounted access platform and the E200PX.
Russon Access Platforms will be exhibiting the latest range of Manitou Self-Propelled electric and diesel booms. Also on the stand will be the Holland lift range of Scissor Lifts.
TVH – Group Thermote & Vanhalst specialise in replacement parts and is using SED to launch its second aerial platform catalogue, specifically parts suitable for Genie. Also exhibiting replacement parts is SED newcomer, Independent Parts and Service, who supply the access industry.
American manufacturer Bil-Jax exhibited at SED for the first time last year – the company is back in 2008 and is launching the new Bil-Jax Self-Propelled X-Booms to the UK market.
Other cranes and access company exhibitors confirmed to exhibit at SED 2008 include Mantis Cranes, Haulotte, Bravisol DM SRL, IPAF, JLG Industries, Vanson Cranes, E.H Hassell & Sons, and Upright Powered Access.
