The Management Recruitment Group (MRG), a construction industry-based executive search agency, has announced the appointment of Michael Hewlett as Senior Practice Manager at their Twickenham office.
The announcement signals a major expansion of the organisation prior to the opening of new offices in the City of London.
Mr Hewlett will oversee the launch a new Interim Services Division specialising in the supply of middle to senior level professionals in the Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Management industries.
The new division will be based across three MRG offices in Twickenham, Brighton and the City of London.
Michael was formerly Associate Director at Facilities Recruitment Limited heading up their interim and engineering team.
Having also previously worked at Hays Construction & Property with MRG Chairman Robert Smith and CEO Simon Cheshire, Michael has extensive experience in this specialist area.
Commenting on his appointment, Michael said: “This is such a fantastic opportunity for me to join a cutting edge recruitment company that will prove to be a market leader.
“The launch of the new Interim Division signals a recognition that there is a vast pool of talented professionals whose age may have been seen by some industry professionals as being a bar to reaching top level appointments, but who offer experience that is lacking in younger candidates. There is a vast demand for these people and we are here to meet that need.”
Robert Smith, Chairman at MRG, added: “We are delighted at Michael’s appointment as Senior Practice Manager. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the interim division and will be an invaluable asset to the ‘MRG’ team, whilst moving into new areas and concentrating on expansion in the UK.”
