Bosch Launches 'Dust-Free' Hammer Drill

Efficient, dust-free drilling in interiors is now possible with the launch of a lightweight, compact hammer drill, the GBH 2-23 REA Professional, by Bosch Professional Power Tools.

The drill has an integral but removable dust extraction unit, incorporating an exchangeable filter. The unit's design ensures excellent dust retention even when the drill is turned upside down. Its dust collection box is fitted with a clear panel meaning collected dust levels can easily be monitored externally.

A transparent dust collector allows a good view of the hole being drilled and a suction tube is supplied for cleaning residue dust from the subsequent hole.

At 3.5 kg and with a 650 W motor, the drill is compact and efficient, allowing it to be safely operated overhead or in hard to reach areas.

It is ideal for clean working in finished areas or locations such as computer rooms or hospitals and reflects the growing demand for industrial dust –control. In Scandinavia there is already legislation covering fugitive dust control for interior drilling.
