International construction and management consultant, Turner & Townsend, has reinforced its on-going expansion of the Birmingham office with a series of in-house promotions at the start of the financial year in May 2008.
In the last three years staff numbers have doubled, growing from 54 to the current employee total of 117 who are spread across three floors at the Church Street premises. Turnover has tripled in the same period as a result of burgeoning relationships with key clients such as Birmingham City Council. Additionally, the Birmingham office has a diverse range of sector experience which has been utilised by other UK offices working in partnership with specialised regional staff to secure lucrative work outside of the region.
Birmingham's excellent reputation in the Education sector means it is fitting that Rodney Moulder, Tim Jervis and Rajiv Sudan all become Directors of Turner & Townsend.
Rodney and Tim work alongside each other to manage all of Birmingham's Education, Health and Science work which accounts for 40% of turnover in the Midlands region.
Rajiv meanwhile, manages Birmingham City Council's £750m, and Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council's £150m Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programmes to which Turner & Townsend was appointed to act as Lead Technical Advisor and as Procurement Management advisor, respectively.
Gareth Poole and Chris Milner both become Associate Directors within the Contract Services team; maintaining a focus on procurement, contract drafting, claims and risk management forensic planning, expert witness and delay analysis. Peter Wain and Philip Tillman both joined Turner & Townsend twelve months ago to develop accounts within the education sector, and in particular on Information Communication and Technological opportunities. Both Peter and Philip become Associate Directors of the Birmingham office.
