Successful Framework Appointment For Osborne Rail Division

Osborne's newly formed rail division has announced its successful appointment on the Network Rail Operational Property Framework for the south of England.

Under the framework agreement Osborne will undertake a station refurbishment programme to update and improve existing stock across the South of England, East Anglia and Wales. Projects range from £500,000 to £15 million.

Mike Cocks, Divisional Managing Director for rail at Osborne said: "We are delighted to have been appointed by Network Rail on this framework which confirms our position as one of the leading rail contractors. It is an endorsement of our expertise in a wide range of refurbishment works. We have an excellent relationship with Network Rail and we are committed to working closely with them in the long term."

Osborne formed its rail division by bringing together two of their already well established rail delivery teams in April 2008 with a view to improving the efficiency of delivery and enhanced service for its rail clients. The company’s rail work, which currently accounts for one quarter of turnover, was formerly delivered by teams within its civil engineering and property services divisions.
