Barbour ABI Shortlisted For Two Prestigious Awards
Barbour ABI are celebrating after being short listed for two top industry awards. The Data Publishers Association (DPA) which organises the annual awards, has chosen them to be in the running for 'Data Service of the Year' and 'Subscription Sales Team of the Year'.
Barbour ABI has been successfully supplying data to the construction industry for over 70 years. To win either accolade will make a big difference to the company, as being recognised by an industry body will strengthen our commitment to our specialist field.
Several awards categories will be split between B2B and B2C focused entries. Barbour ABI is primarily a B2B business providing UK companies with sales leads, contact data, CRM software and market intelligence.
Barbour ABI is one of five businesses short listed for the 'Data Service of the Year' award. Competition for this award includes EMAP and Reed Business Information. For the 'Subscription Sales Team' award, Barbour ABI's only competition is Reed Business Information.
Winners will be announced at the DPA awards ceremony on 23 October 2008 in Brighton. The Data Publishers Association (DPA) is the industry body representing data and directory publishers in the UK. Founded in 1970, its role is to protect and promote the interests of the industry, both in print and electronic media.
David Andrew, Barbour ABI Director said: "We are delighted that the hard work and dedication our Sales teams demonstrate with new and importantly existing customers everyday is being recognised, along with our continued investment in both project research and delivery systems.
"In the past two years we have exceeded and continue to beat both new business and existing customer renewal records. This is a tremendous positive reflection on the quality of our Research data, new online lead management system, Evolution, and the supportive nature of our Sales teams when dealing with new and existing customers."
