Kubota, the UK, European and world leader in mini excavators, has introduced a new 3.3 tonne zero tail swing machine in the UK and Ireland.
The new U30-3 model sits between the existing 2.5 tonne U25-3 and 3.5 tonne U35-3 machines as part of the company's extensive U Series range.
In addition to its smooth operation, powerful digging force, superb versatility and exceptional performance, a key feature of the new machine is its width of 1.55m, which is 20cm narrower than the U35-3, allowing it to gain access to and work in ultra tight spaces.
The U30-3 uses the same well-designed cab and proven engine as the U25-3 and U35-3 models. It generates 26.0kN of maximum digging force at the bucket and has a maximum reach of 5,060 mm at ground level, with a maximum digging depth of 3,060mm.
Like all other Kubota minis, from 1.5 tonne upwards, the U30-3 features their unique 'ANTI-THEFT' system. This complete, easy-to-use security device was the first and is still the only one of its kind fitted as standard by a mini excavator manufacturer - providing extra piece of mind without extra cost.
Other control system features included as standard include automatic engine idle and return to speed, as well as a display of diagnostic readings and routine maintenance alerts.
A push of a switch adjusts the flow rate of the 39.6l/min, 23.5MPa auxiliary hydraulic circuit, which simplifies the use of attachments, such as tilt buckets, brush cutters and hydraulic hammers.
As with other Kubota U-3 Series machines, quick and easy maintenance is a key factor and a fully double opening bonnet provides access to the engine, air cleaner and water separator via the rear engine cover, with hydraulic control valve access from inside the cabin. Hoses to the dozer and boom cylinders are of a two-piece design to reduce hose replacement time.
The addition of the U30-3 brings to 19 the total number of base models in the Kubota mini excavator range, the largest available from any manufacturer. They span the weight categories from 850 kg to 8 tonnes and include the widest selection of zero tail swing machines; providing unbeatable choice for customers, including plant hirers, contractors, landscapers and owner operators.
Kubota's world leading minis have a legendary reputation for quality, performance, reliability, versatility and excellent residual values, coupled with outstanding dealer support, providing outstanding value for money - vitally important considerations in the current economic climate.
