Rick Moore Appointed Chair Of LMEC
The Leicester Miller Education Company (LMEC) has appointed Rick Moore as Chair of the Board.
A widely respected member of the Leicester community, Rick has served the city in a number of roles including Chair of The Leicestershire Economic Partnership which is responsible for driving forward the economic growth of Leicester and Leicestershire. He is also Chair of Business Builder (the commercial business development arm of The Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce) and Chairman of the Leicestershire & Rutland Board of the Prince's Trust Charity.
In addition to his public successes, he has also a wealth of experience within the private sector. A qualified surveyor, Rick is the co-founder of Moore & York and has previous development experience having successfully delivered a number of developments in the East Midlands.
Speaking of his appointment, Rick said: "I am absolutely delighted to have been appointed Chairman of LMEC. Leicester is my birth place and the place that I was educated; I am passionate about providing the current and future generations of Leicester with every opportunity to gain and benefit from a good education.
"The Building Schools for the Future programme is of enormous importance in providing the physical facilities and resources to help the City to continue improve the standard of education which it offers. I am confident that LMEC will deliver educational facilities that we and many generations to come will be proud of and can benefit from."
