Wembley Picks Up Top Building Award
The multi-million pound Wembley Stadium redevelopment picked up a number of top accolades at an award bash last night.
The stadium won Best Commercial Project at the Local Authority Building Control Awards, and came runner-up in two other coveted categories.
Located in Brent in London, the scheme was dubbed a 'truly exceptional building'.
It was also highly commended in Best Structural Project and Best Fire Engineering Project categories.
Wandsworth's Battersea Reach project received recognition, after being named runner-up in four categories: Best Fire Engineering Project, Best Partnership with a Main Contractor, Best Partnership with a Designer, Architect or Construction Consultant, and Best Housing and Residential Project.
