Origin Design Studio emerged in 2008 as a result of the longstanding success enjoyed by the architectural division of the Peter Cole Consultants Group. The practice is young and progressive, specialising in creative architectural design, planning applications, building regulations and construction services.
Under its former guise as PCC architectural, the company's experience has been wide ranging and has included commissions in the Residential, Industrial, Commercial, Leisure and Education sectors. As such we have successfully designed and managed projects ranging from £50,000 to more than £1 million for private and commercial clients throughout central and eastern England.
The design process usually begins with an initial no-fee consultation. At this point the company will ascertain the client's ideas and budget and offer advice on the property. They will also highlight possible planning constraints and any difficulties with regard to the existing building and plot. Origin Design Studio understands the financial significance of construction work and will recommend ways that value can be added to schemes through careful planning and good design.
Although most clients will have a clear idea of the nature and scale of the build, their personal taste can be more difficult to define. This is entirely understandable and we appreciate that as a result it can be easy to excessively influence a scheme during the early stage, before the client has been fully informed of their options. For this reason we have developed methods to help us to understand their aspirations and personal tastes before we even pick up a pencil. These methods will be project appropriate and may take the form of client questionnaires or stylistic swatches. The information they provide will be used to inform the creative approach they take. Following this Origin Design Studio will be able to transform your ideas into a working design enabling them to produce all of the required plans, drawings and documents.
