Osborne Selected For BAA Commodity Build Framework
Osborne has secured a place on the new BAA 'Commodity Build' framework. As one of five contractors selected to be on the framework, Osborne will contribute to the delivery of up to £650m of BAA's Capital Investment Programme over a five year period.
The scope of works includes building, refurbishment, fit-out, civil engineering and rail projects. These projects will see Osborne teams working across Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Southampton airports.
The 'Commodity Build' framework enables the procurement and delivery of 'Capital Projects' for BAA ranging in value from £1m to £30m. It complements the 'Complex Build' framework which is for projects in excess of £30m.
Osborne was selected on the basis of its ability to meet key health and safety, quality, programme and cost criteria. Other deciding factors were Osborne's experience on frameworks for Network Rail, the Highways Agency and NHS Procure 21, its range of experience and expertise and its willingness to engage with clients at all stages of a project.
Andrew Osborne, Group Corporate Development Director at Osborne said: "The award of the Commodity Build Framework by such a respected and forward thinking client as BAA provides us with a valuable opportunity to continue the profitable growth and successful future of Osborne. We look forward to helping BAA achieve their strategic goals over the next five years."
