Hull's Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme has announced the successful progress of three, high quality, competitive and leading edge consortia who are bidding to become the city's preferred BSF partner.
The companies that have been short listed are: Balfour Beatty Capital Ltd; Esteem and VINCI Investments Ltd.
The project is now entering a 12-month evaluation process to select one of the bidders to design, build and service all Hull's new secondary and special schools in the city's £400m programme aimed at transforming, learning and opportunity for all it's students.
The organisations bring with them a wealth of experience and expertise to help deliver schools fit for the 21st Century.
Following selection the preferred partner will be able to start work on the sites for the first new schools, Winifred Holtby, Tweendykes Special School and the Archbishop Sentamu Academy, in March 2010.
Cllr Mike Ross, Portfolio Holder for Lifelong Learning, said: "I am really pleased with the calibre of organisations short-listed and very confident that the selected bidder will deliver the aspirations that we have for education in the City and support the social, physical and economic regeneration of the city."
