Derbyshire Library To Be Upgraded

A Derbyshire County Council library is being upgraded as part of a major refurbishment programme.
The authority is spending £11,500 giving Hadfield Library a facelift including putting in new shelving and redecorating. A new central heating boiler will also be installed along with new furniture at the Station Road library.
The work at Hadfield Library is part of the authority's drive to improve the lives of local people.
Councillor Bob Janes, Derbyshire County Council's cabinet member for cultural services, is asking users to bear with the council while the improvements are made.
"Once the work is done the library will be a much nicer, brighter place to be," he said.
"We're sorry for the inconvenience but to ensure the safety of staff and the public it is necessary to close the library temporarily.
"I hope people will come back when the work is done and see what's new."
