Lovell welcomed students from Pontypridd and Deputy Minister for Skills, John Griffiths AM, to the company's Maes Ifor housing development at Taffs Well, just outside Cardiff.

The visit was arranged through Lovell and Sector Skills Council ConstructionSkills to enable Year 10 students from Pontypridd High School - who are studying the work-based Learning Pathway in Construction and the Built Environment - to get first-hand experience of a construction development.


Mike Davis, Regional Training Advisor For Lovell, said: "Encouraging young people to pursue careers in construction is one of our main priorities and events like this give us an excellent opportunity to make youngsters with an interest in the industry aware of the opportunities open to them. We are committed to bringing in young people who we believe have the skills to take our business forward in the future. We hope that the visit has whetted the appetites of the students and given them a good idea of what a typical day on site involves."
