A new showroom and offices for Kubota tractor and groundcare equipment dealer Gibson's Garden Machinery Ltd (GGM Groundscare) of Colne, Lancashire, has been officially opened by the managing director of Kubota (UK) Ltd, Mr T Omote.
Mr Omote was joined at the opening ceremony by Councillor Alan Buck from Pendle Council, which had awarded a grant to GGM so that it could carry out the expansion project.
A mezzanine floor has been built to create a new suite of offices with the old office space turned into a spacious showroom and improved servicing facilities.
GGM provides sales, parts and service support for the full range of Kubota tractors and groundcare equipment to farmers, local councils, schools, sports clubs and other amenity users throughout Lancashire and West and North Yorkshire.
GGM's owner Chris Gibson said: "We are totally focussed on becoming a leading supplier to the professional groundscare market. We urgently needed more space due to a steady increase in business and are now on track to achieve our growth targets, thanks to the support of Pendle Council for our expansion project."
Kubota has been GGM's principal supplier of tractors and ride-on mowers for many years.
"My father was one of Kubota's first dealers in the UK," said Chris Gibson. "Our association goes back 30 years so we were very pleased that Mr Omote was able to open our new enlarged premises."
A series of Open Days has followed the official opening, with demonstrations of the latest range of Kubota tractors and ride-on mowers to GGM customers.
Kubota has remained at the forefront of the UK and Ireland market for compact tractors and ride-on mowers for the past 30 years, as well as being the global leader in the sub 50hp tractor sector.
During this time the company has pioneered many of the innovations now taken for granted in the tractor and groundcare industry and has sold in excess of 60,000 machines, from an overall range including 23 tractor models (12 - 128hp) and 12 ride-on mower models (catering for domestic and professional users alike), as well as the 4 variants of the RTV900 all-terrain utility vehicle.
Kubota machines have a legendary reputation for quality, performance, reliability and outstanding value-for-money, and a national network of specialist dealers provides the highest standards of advice and aftersales service.
