Muirfield Contracts Sign With Mardak
Muirfield Contracts are the latest company to sign up with Mardak Ltd for their construction accounting and contract management software.
After extensively researching the marketplace, Muirfield selected Mardak Construction Accounts (MCA) as the best fit solution for their requirements.
Based in Scotland, Muirfield Contracts are a £50 million turnover contractor with offices in Dundee, Aberdeen and Grangemouth. They are made up of 4 divisions, specialising in major works, minor works, civil works and also specialist works such as rendering and cladding.
Muirfield Contracts had not only been looking for a product that met their needs in terms of functionality but they were also looking for a supplier that would provide long term stability and who were committed to continued development of their product. Mardak met with all of these requirements.
David Wallace, Financial Controller of Muirfield Contracts commented: "Our main reasons for looking at new software originated when our existing supplier was taken over. We were concerned about the future of the product which we were using and whether there would continue to be development on the product. Additionally we had felt that the product support was slipping and the timescales for issues to be resolved was taking increasingly longer."
He continued: "We had previously had a relationship with many of the team at Mardak in their former lives working on the MICAbuild product. Based on this we knew that the staff at Mardak understands the construction industry and the specific requirements which we have from our software as a result. This provided a big comfort factor to us.
"Mardak Construction Accounts provides an excellent reporting function which allows data to be exported to Excel with one click of a button. We currently carry out most of our reporting and analysis in Excel but have the cumbersome job of re-keying information from our existing system into Excel. Not only is this immensely time consuming but it does then lead to potential human errors."
"We are really looking forward to MCA’s in-depth reporting; it will save us considerable administration time as well as providing us with greater powers of analysis into our business."
