Stick To Mapei Rapid Adhesive Solutions
A comprehensive selection of adhesive solutions is on offer at Mapei UK Ltd.
The company boasts an answer for all project specification requirements.
When selecting adhesives for high quality stone installations, Mapei Granirapid and Elastorapid provide their own unique benefits and are pivotal products for any project specification.
Both rapid setting, flexible adhesives can be used for bonding stone, porcelain, conglomerate marble and resin bonded tiles. They are suitable for use on all wall and floor substrates and can be used in conjunction with undertile heating, making them extremely functional, versatile products. The rapid-setting, extraordinary bonding properties of Granirapid make it the obvious choice for projects where rapid tiling and resistance to high foot traffic is required.
These properties were paramount in Granirapid’s specification for the extensive floor tile installation at Terminal 5.
Granirapid's rapid-setting properties also ensured its specification for the refurbishment of the prominent Selfridges store on Oxford Street, London. Due to the requirement that work had to be carried out when the store was closed Granirapid guaranteed the prompt installation of 600 x 600 x 20mm marble floor tiles. It is also very popular for retail and hospital environments.
Available in grey and white Granirapid is suitable for dark or light coloured stone materials.
Mapei Elastorapid is rapid-setting and invites project specification with its highly deformable properties and extended open time. The longer open time makes it particularly suitable for summer use where immediate service is required. The increased flexibility (S2) ensures Elastorapid’s performance even for floors subject to heavy traffic on substrates as deformable as timber. Popular for leisure projects Elastorapid was specified for the refurbishment of the prestigious Hurlingham Club where it was used to bond porcelain tiles and mosaics to all swimming pools and surrounds and changing rooms. Elastorapid is also available in grey and white. All projects mentioned feature Mapei products specified by Domus Tiles. The projects benefited from a system of Mapei products including fast-track screeds, substrate preparation and coloured grouts. Mapei provide a one stop shop for systems solutions and offer a dedicated technical services department and full nbs specification service.
Mapei is the world’s largest manufacturer of adhesives, sealants and chemical products for building. With over 70 years experience, Mapei is a specialist in the production of quality products for the installation of all types of wall and floor coverings, and has a vast range of admixtures and repair products for concrete and building materials.
