Kingfisher Access (New Product Launch)
Kingfisher Access is launching a new product into the market to solve the problems of emergency escape from boom type MEWP's, mast climbing work platforms, suspended cradles, mechanical handling equipment and tower cranes. The Emergency Evacuation System allows for emergency evacuation from height at a controlled rate, should a machine suffer a catastrophic failure, or, should the equipment become enmeshed in a structure.

Lightweight and easy to carry it is ideal to use from a variety of applications including scaffolding, steelwork, tower cranes, hydraulic platforms, order pickers, onshore and offshore Wind Farms and buildings. The compact system incorporates a friction descent devices which, combined with a full body safety harnesses, allows an operator stranded in an elevated position to safely lower himself to the ground under his own control. Descent is controlled by simply applying finger pressure to the tubular webbing, the ability to slow or stop at any time allows the person to negotiate any obstacle below them and descend to the ground safely. Versions are available for heights from 10 metres up to 80 metres.
