Gee-Fix joint strip
Gee-fix joint strip is a high performance repair tape system that permanently seals to almost any substrate/surface. Use it to repair failed seams on most single ply membrane systems, gutters, flashings, ducting and much more.
It features a pressure activated adhesive backing that bonds and seals to aged PVC, TPO, EPDM, SBS BITUMEN, ASPHALT, CONCRETE, MASONRY, FIBRE CEMENT, CLAY TILES, SLATES, FIBREGLASS, POLYETHYLENE, POLYPROPYLENE, POLYSTYRENE AND MUCH MORE.
Available in Black, white or grey, in widths of 50mm, 100mm, and 150mm. roll lengths are either 7.5m or 15m long. N.B. widths of 200mm and 300mm available in grey only.
When repairing aged PVC, ensure membrane is cleaned first, then apply spray cleaner to ensure surface is clean and dry. For best results, use sandpaper to key affected area before applying repair tape. Ensure tape is applied carefully to avoid air bubbles or wrinkles. If large wrinkles are unavoidable, they can be slit and resealed.
Once applied, use roller to apply vigorous pressure, which will activate the adhesive.
Once cured, a strong watertight permanent seal is achieved.
N.B. Primer must be used on all porous surfaces, such as concrete, timber etc. (do not use primer on PVC Products).
Gee-fix can even be installed at temperatures below 5 degrees, however, surface ice etc must be removed, and surfaces must be clean and dry before installation.
If required, Gee-fix can be butted together, by either overlapping tape by 10mm or butt jointing, ensuring you pinch edges together and then roller.
Once cured the product will last for 30 years. And is warrantied for 10 years.
Gee-fix is a brand name distributed exclusively by GMRS Limited.
