What Are Automatic / Rising Bollards?
Bollards are posts mounted into the ground to prevent access by vehicles.
Automatic or Rising Bollards are designed to be a significant security measure where controlled access is required. The bollards lay flush to the ground in the resting position, and rise up to prevent access.
The operation of the bollards can be controlled by a number of different access control systems. These can include keypads, RFID swipe cards and intercom communications.
Constructed from heavy duty 220mm steel tube, the automatic bollard is an alternative to the roadblocker. It is more suitable to a site where a more architecturally sensitive security system is required.
