Pinefield Glass
Elgin-based Pinefield Glass is set to inspire a new generation of self builders and specifiers by adding the innovative new Modus® window and door system to its offer.
Being the only UK window and door system to have been developed in the last 10 years, Pinefield Glass is confident that it offers its customers something distinctly different.
Compared to all existing sculptured and ovolo systems, most of which were designed 10 years ago, Modus is better looking, better performing and better value for money.
Pinefield Glass is able to supply Modus windows and doors that easily meet current Scottish Building regulation requirements, all the way through to the 0.8w/m²K zero-carbon level.
Being a fully integrated system means that Pinefield Glass offers Modus in three stunning sash designs, which can be used for up to eight different types of windows and doors – giving customers thousands of different permutations.
The standard rebate, slim rebate and fully flush sash styles offer its customers a much wider range of appealing design aesthetics compared to traditional sculptured and ovolo PVC-U systems.
In combination with slimmer sight lines, it means the company can offer its customers a genuine alternative to aluminium and timber products – whilst achieving much better value for money.
Pinefield Glass has already supplied Modus windows and doors to a number of customers and is expecting a strong interest from self builders for its 0.8w/m²K standard triple glazed unit version of the window. Even with a standard double glazed unit, Modus® achieves a U-value of 1.1 w/m²K, which is a significant improvement on current Scottish Building Regulations of 1.6 w/m²K.
Modus achieves these impressive U-values more cost effectively than all the systems design over 10 years ago because of its unique 75mm six-chamber profile system, combined with a triple-seal option to achieve superb thermal and air tightness performance.
“Modus® offers our customers something very different to all the other windows that are currently available in the market, from both an aesthetic and performance point of view,” said Bryan Yule, Managing Director at Pinefield Glass. “With three stunning sash designs to choose from it suits both cutting edge and traditional architectural styles.”
Bryan added: “Modus® offers our customers a cost effective method of meeting current and future building performance regulations all the way through to zero-carbon and beyond. We have already had a considerable amount of interest from self builders and specifiers.”
Adding to its appeal is a wide choice of frame colours. The system is available in nine solid and woodgrain effect colours. All standard colours are available with white internal finishes to create a light and airy living environment. A further range of 40+ solid and woodgrain effect finishes is available, including colour both sides.
For self builders and developers that require a differentiated, premium look Pinefield Glass offers the Architectural range. Consisting of three specially selected metallic options and a premier woodgrain finish, it is yet another way that Modus can add a distinctive look to any property.
For green-minded customers, Pinefield Glass is highlighting the fact that Modus® uses 50 per cent* post consumer recycled PVC-U as standard. Alternatively, it offers a 100 per cent post-consumer recycled PVC-U version as an option. The profiles are manufactured and recycled in the UK by Eurocell, the leading manufacturer and distributor of PVC-U products.
As part of its ongoing commitment to the environment and sustainability, Pinefield Glass is able to work with Eurocell to offer customers a closed-loop recycling solution on refurbishment projects.
