H M James & Sons Ltd
H M James provides new unique system for discontinued products
When I joined the business, which was a few years ago(!), I remember that there were a few different toilet seat shapes but they were predominantly plastic – and many of the seats were interchangeable with other toilets.
Nowadays we have hundreds of toilet seat shapes and finishes on the market and almost none of them are, as was described to me in a phone call recently – "just an oval shape"!
Well I do know what the lady in question was referring to and we were quickly able to help her and find out exactly what toilet seat she had and who was the manufacturer of the toilet itself.
In this one case we had some fifteen different colours and finishes for her to choose a replacement toilet seat from!
As more and more bathroom manufacturers have appeared on the market our role as a leading provider of replacement toilet seats has seen our stocks of toilet seats grow to previously unseen levels.
Because as well as the new manufacturers and the new models launched by existing companies there have been many changes in toilet seat fashion. Yes there is a fashion world for toilet seats and although a seat may fit, the customer may not like how it looks or feels!
Wood has certainly stood up to the many challenges of colour and soft closures but now it is not even a question of wood v plastic v coloured! No, we now have umpteen different styles of wooden replacement toilet seats!
Many of the designs we carry in stock are exclusive to HM James and we are proud to be able to find a replacement toilet seat for almost any toilet. To help you find the most suitable replacement toilet seat we have now added our very own Toilet Seat Finder.
Simply complete our online form and we will use the information to advise you what toilet you have and what replacement toilet seats will fit your toilet.
For those of you who prefer in-person to online, then we would be delighted to see you at our showroom in East London.
Just fifteen minutes from the M25, and a few minutes off London’s North Circular, you can see the many styles and shapes for yourself!
