MDF
MDF is an engineered wood product made of softwood fibres glued together under high pressure and heat. MDF is smooth and has no knots and is machinable. The lighter the density the less material pressed into the board hence ultra light, light and standard. This means the panel is lighter the less dense but also absorbs more paint.
