Replacement Timber Windows For Listed Buildings
Listed buildings are often required to retain as much of the original timber frames as possible and so, wherever possible, we prefer to repair the existing frame in situ. However, depending on the level of rot or general deterioration, in many cases it is often more viable to take the window out and refurbish at workshop level. We will make an expert assessment of every case and decide on the individual best course of action.

Historical timber windows often have non standard methods of construction and non standard mouldings. In such cases, we at Glasswood will duplicate what is there using, wherever possible, the same material as the existing windows.

Traditional style flush cottage windows can be manufactured and fitted with sealed units and weather stripped.

Bespoke hardwood windows are our speciality and can be manufactured to your specifications.

Finishes can be in a wide range of options including painted, stained, oiled or even left untreated to enable it to weather and age.
