There are two main types of up and over doors; Canopy, the entry level door for manual operation with side arms and top springs that lift the door and leave around one third of the open door outside the garage. Retractable, which has side sprung arms to swing up the bottom of the door fully into the garage as the top runs back on rollers in tracks along the ceiling. Retractable up and over doors can be supplied as manual doors, but are ideal for electric automatic operation.
