Sound Planning Ltd
Sound Planning supplies, designs and installs acoustic enclosures for different structures; these enclosures can help to solve noise that is commonly caused by external condensers, fans, compressors, heat pumps, generators, motors or even people.

Acoustic Enclosures An acoustic enclosure is a closed engineering structure designed for noise reduction. It is almost always required for sites where noise-generating equipment is commonly in use, including:
  • Manufacturing facilities
  • Factories
  • Trading centres
  • Offices
  • Schools
  • Commercial cinemas

Constructed with high performance acoustic panels, acoustic louvres and air exhaust duct attenuators, our enclosures are also designed to reduce noise up to 30 dB (insertion loss). They can be powder coated to any BS (British Standard) or RAL colour.

Acoustic enclosures have separate control solutions for different types of noise, some of which include:

Acoustic Walls
Our acoustic wall panelling system will dramatically reduce the transmission of sound, providing an increased reduction of airborne noise compared to an existing wall; the sound absorption benefits are perfectly suited to areas that present a real sound problem.

Acoustic Louvres
These are acoustic vents with internal absorptive chambers that reduce airborne noise.

Acoustic Barriers
Acoustic barriers help to reduce ventilation and maintenance problems, providing an inexpensive option for fully enclosed machinery.

Acoustic Floors
Floors are more susceptible to noise because they are naturally low in mass. Acoustic floors help to reduce noise through an insulation treatment.

Acoustic Ceilings
Our acoustic ceilings can provide the noise control you expect. Large and noisy areas like gymnasiums usually install this particular noise control solution.

Acoustic Duct Linings
These are fibrous noise control absorbers which can be easily installed in HVAC equipment to minimise airborne noises.

Acoustic Laggings
Used to prevent the transmission of sound coming from vibrating surfaces like machines, ducts or pipes, laggings are composed of different porous materials (fibreglass or mineral wool) or impervious materials. Acoustic housing specification:
  • High performance acoustic louvre air inlet
  • Exhaust air attenuator (left side of the enclosure)
  • Lockable double access/service doors
  • BS or RAL painted colour
  • Internal absorption
  • Roof with a fallback to front

Having invested a great deal of time and resource to ensure that we can come up with the right product for the right purpose and because we want everyone to achieve a noise free environment, our acoustic enclosures are all rigorously tested and evaluated.
