Trailing Edge Dimmer solves many problems with dimming lamps.
Conventional dimmers can exhibit undesirable effects such as buzzing in the dimmer and the lamps, which in turn can reduce lamp life. In addition dimmers can be damaged by power surges and overloading.
Conventional dimmers (which are called leading edge dimmers) also require interference suppression which is bulky and wastes power.
Our trailing edge dimmer does not need interference suppression, and it is silent in operation. It also produces less voltage losses in the electronics and therefore runs cooler and wastes less power. Also it has a current limit circuit which prevents overload and a ‘soft start’ circuit which is kinder to lamps.
Another huge benefit with our dimmer is that it fits in a conventional housing, unlike most competitors’ dimmers which are bulky.
